Shift Your Mindset: From Negativity to Positivity
1. Chain of Negativity
When we face one negative experience (like demotion, criticism, or disrespect), the mind sticks to it. One negative thought invites another.
Confidence decreases, demotivation sets in, and energy gets wasted in the wrong direction. That’s why we keep replaying “one small criticism” for hours or even days.
2. Chain of Positivity
How to create positive thoughtsOn the other hand, when we receive one positive thought or appreciation, it generates another positive thought.
The mind becomes active and motivated. We start thinking creatively, and energy increases. Just like negativity has its own chain, positivity also works like a domino effect.
3. The Real Difference is Mindset
People who stay stuck in criticism waste their precious time and energy in useless arguments and pointing out others’ flaws.
But those who focus on support and cooperation not only grow themselves but also help others grow. Criticism drains energy, while support multiplies it.
4. The Funda of Validation
When we constantly seek approval or validation from others (“What will people think?”, “Why didn’t they praise me?”), we hand over our control to them.
If they respond negatively, we immediately break down. But if we take validation from within (“Did I try honestly?”, “Am I better than yesterday?”), we no longer depend much on outside appreciation.
This self-validation makes us strong from the inside.
5. Overthinking vs. Positive Thinking
Overthinking: Replaying the same negative situation—“What if…?”, “What will people say?”
Positive Thinking: Taking lessons from the same situation—“What did I learn?”, “How can I do better next time?”
The difference lies only in thinking. The same incident can either break someone or make them stronger.
